Setting up a Digital Product

IMPORTANT NOTE: Save page often by clicking Save button at bottom of left column

CREATE A NEW PRODUCT

1. Select Products Listing under the Products dropdown in top bar

2. Click Add Product button in top right of screen


LEFT COLUMN
Product details
1. Choose Product: Select Digital 

2. Add Product Name

3. Select Product Type

  • Click in field and choose only 1 Product Type from the list

4. Add a description of the product (optional but highly recommended)

5. Enter Product Tags by clicking in the field and selecting relevant tags (multiple allowed) (required)

6. Pricing details

  • Enter Price (required)
  • Enter Compare at Price if you'd like to show a sale in the store (e.g. enter $50 in Price field and $75 in Compare at Price field) (Optional)

7. Inventory Details

  • Enter SKU(Optional)
  • Enter Barcode (Optional)
  • Select Track Inventory
  • Add Quantity available for sale (Required)
  • Check This Product Has Multiple Options if you are offering various digital options. (Optional)
    • If you check this, you'll see the Variant field. 
    • Click Add Variant to create versions of the digital product at different prices (e.g. 1 day of cleaning service at $100 and another variant that offers 5 days of cleaning services at $400)

8. Add Digital Product (Required)

  • Upload file: Upload a document that the customer can download after purchase to give them info on how to claim the digital product or service (Required)
  • Enter number of accessible days: How long is the product good for? (e.g. 365 days) (Required)
  • Number of downloads: How many times can the customer download the document you uploaded? (Required)

RIGHT COLUMN
1. Product Image (optional but highly recommended)

  • Click Upload Image
  • You can choose up to 10 images
  • Use jpg or pgn images

2. Select Category (optional but highly recommended)

  • You can select multiple categories, but choose ONLY those relevant to your product (e.g. if you sell handcrafted candles, choose Arts & Crafts AND Candles categories)

3. Product Handles and Metadata (optional)

  • Product Handle: Name of product (will auto fill if you don't add it)
  • Title tag meta field: Page title that will appear in browser bar
  • Description meta field: Short description that will appear in search results
