MCNW's 2023-2024 CBRA Cohort

The following 11 organizations applied and were selected to join Mercy Corps Northwest's Clackamas County CBRA cohort. Each organization receives capacity-building technical assistance until September 2024 and up to $80,000 in cash assistance to help them recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Arts Council of Lake Oswego
The Arts Council of Lake Oswego works to ensure the arts are an integral part of life in our community now and into the future with the purpose of placement and preservation of public art in Lake Oswego, providing access to art exhibitions for residents and visitors, and advance the lifelong learning about the arts through educational programs and docent tours. 

Bridging Cultures
Bridging Cultures is a multicultural organization that brings people together across different backgrounds to share the Latine culture and provide initiatives that support understanding, wellness, inclusivity and unity. In elevating the Latine community, Bridging Cultures fosters a healthier and more equitable community. The 4 programmatic areas are: Community Building, Community Education, Wellness, and Advocacy.

Choice Adoptions 
Choice Adoptions is a licensed child-placing agency in both Oregon and Washington. The organization exists to support, educate, and advocate for all involved in the adoption process while protecting vulnerable children.

Clackamas County Historical Society 
The Clackamas County Historical Society collects, preserves, and shares the region’s history through the Museum of the Oregon Territory and the 1908 Stevens-Crawford Heritage House.

Friends of Estacada Community Center, Inc. 
Friends of Estacada Community Center, Inc. is a non-profit community center for the greater Estacada area including the communities of Barton, Damascus, Dodge, Eagle Creek, Garfield, George, Porter, and Springwater. They serve seniors and people with disabilities with nutritional, social, recreational, and educational services, a commercial kitchen, and space for meetings and events.

Imagine Theatre
Imagine Theatre is a youth theatre organization that provides high-quality theatre arts education and performance opportunities for all students. They are passionate about celebrating diversity, promoting accessibility, and fostering community.

Oswego Heritage Council
The mission of the Oswego Heritage Council is to preserve and promote the history and culture of Lake Oswego. OHC is headquartered at the Oswego Heritage House and Museum where they invite visitors to stop by and see the historic house and attend their featured events.

Philip Foster Farm
The Philip Foster Farm Historic Site fosters a vibrant community of local historians, passionately preserving the authentic pioneer heritage of the Estacada area. They achieve this through hands-on tours, field trips, events, presentations, archiving, preservation of historic sites, and objects, and educational investment in staff and volunteers of all ages.

The Canby Center
The Canby Center is a faith-based organization that “renews dignity and inspires learning for youth and families in God’s love”. They offer wrap-around care to Canby youth and families with an emphasis on dignity and learning. Their no-cost, personal responsibility-based programs engage members in their own development, helping them take key steps to leave what may feel like a cycle of poverty.

Sandy Community Action Center
The Sandy Community Action Center is a food pantry and thrift store serving those residing in the Oregon Trail School District and beyond. They provide hunger relief assistance, and energy assistance when funds are available. They also partner with a local meal site to provide a home-cooked meal every Thursday and offer a ‘Senior Box’ program to connect seniors with food supplied by the USDA once a month.

Senior Citizens Council of Clackamas 
The Senior Citizens Council of Clackamas is a nonprofit organization with programs that promote independence and improved quality of life. They seek to prevent or end abuse, neglect, and exploitation of at-risk seniors and adults with disabilities. Their services include assessment of needs, care monitoring/case management, bill paying assistance, financial management, information/referral services, and advocacy to preserve the dignity and quality of life by providing diversion, guardianship, and conservatorship.
